The Memminger Hut is located in the Parseier Valley, an orographic left side valley of the Madautal in the Lechtal Alps below the Seekogel at an altitude of 2,237 m above sea level.
As part of the application by the Section Memmingen of the Deutscher Alpenverein(DAV) for a commercial building and operating permit for the new construction of the existing material cable car, a torrent and avalanche investigation of the support and station locations was carried out, as the facility is located in an area threatened by avalanches and debris flows.
The assessment was based on the impressions and information gained during a site inspection, including drone flights, computer-aided simulations of avalanches and debris flows, and the resulting forces acting on the plant components.
