MSB Kürsinger Hütte
Client:
Österreichischer Alpenverein, Sektion Salzburg
Job:
The two-lane reversible aerial tramway built in 1980 for the renovation of the Kürsinger Hütte is currently not commercially licensed for factory traffic. As management is very time-consuming from March to October, it must be possible to transport employees, service personnel and craftsmen by cable car. However, due to the geometry of the lift, the existing installation cannot be adapted by a simple conversion, so the lift has to be rebuilt. The avalanche assessment of the installation is based on the Avalanche Decree 2011, which defines avalanche protection in the area of cable cars for passenger transport in accordance with Section 2 of the Cable Car Act 2003.
Challenges:
Investigation of the avalanche risk and assessment of system and operational safety with regard to avalanches
Realisation:
